Bangladesh’s pharmaceutical market is a $6 billion industry serving 180 million people — flowing through 250,000 mom-and-pop pharmacies in one of the most pharmacy-dense markets in the world. Yet the supply chain connecting pharma companies to those pharmacies is broken: fragmented, informal, and increasingly compromised by counterfeits. PulseTech is rewiring it, as Bangladesh’s only licensed digital pharmaceutical distributor.

Kazi Ashikur Rasul & Arefeen Raafi Ahmed
PulseTech began with two founders who’d seen Bangladesh’s pharmaceutical industry from the inside — Kazi from years of designing ERPs for pharmaceutical companies, and Raafi from his family’s pharmaceutical business. They knew the system. They also knew it was failing the country — that medicines weren’t reaching pharmacies on time, that counterfeits were filling the gaps, and that the pharmacy owners holding it all together had no support.
So they listened, and built. PulseTech became Bangladesh’s first licensed, tech-enabled pharmaceutical distributor — and from there, we grew naturally with our mom-and-pop pharmacies.
The number tells the story: we are growing 20% revenue month-on-month and we don’t see this pace slowing down. Today, we serve 14,000+ pharmacies and 4.2 million Bangladeshi consumers — yet that’s still less than 2% of the country’s pharmacy retail.
And we’re just getting started.
Operators, builders, and industry veterans rewiring how medicine moves through Bangladesh.
